Hub Manager @ Bodacious Bread
Bodacious Bread is the newest member of the Bodacious Family of Shops, founded and headquartered by Quint Studer in Pensacola, Florida. The Bodacious Family of Shops has several locations in Pensacola, Florida and has also expanded to Janesville, Wisconsin. As a Hub Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a positive organizational culture, overseeing personnel management, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving marketing initiatives, and managing day-to-day operations. This multifaceted role requires a dynamic leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Uphold and promote SFOC’s mission to improve the lives of the people in our communities.
• Proactively recruit and hire team members aligned with the organizational culture.
• Promote employee engagement initiatives to reduce turnover.
• Develop and manage employee schedules.
• Work with HR on employee onboarding and training new employees; create Day 1 and Week 1 schedules for all new hires.
• Address performance issues with staff, including but not limited to punctuality, task completion, and interpersonal issues.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards from open to close.
• Supervise Breadboard execution, greetings, order flow, and upselling techniques.
• Foster fast and efficient transactions, speed of service, and rewards programs.
• Manage the lobby, handle customer complaints, and build customer connections.
• Oversee online ordering and third-party platforms.
• Drive local store marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
• Collaborate on social media strategies with the GM, Marketing Manager, and others.
• Implement and optimize rewards programs.
• Execute Winning Hearts.
• Supervise production processes, including bake records, kneaders board and proprietary systems.
• Implement predictions processes, including daily sheets, product counts and other proprietary systems.
• Facilitate ingredient orders and manage inventory levels.
• Ensure speed of service, menu updates, and adherence to recipes.
• Establish and maintain checklists, cleaning processes, and quality control measures.
• Monitor legal certifications, health, and OSHA standards.
• Safely transport food to spokes in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Monitor and meet targets for "Big Two" and variable costs.
• Manage labor tasks, adjusting daily as necessary.
• Monitor and adjust COGS on a weekly basis.
• Supervise purchase approvals and conduct weekly inventories.
• Oversee bakery supplies, cleaning supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage marketing budget set in collaboration with GM/Ownership.
• Conduct daily reconciliations and banking activities.
• Attend financial meetings with CFO/Controller, GM, and Ownership.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Must be comfortable in a small business or “start-up”-like environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
• Commitment to upholding brand standards and fostering a positive work culture.
• Must be willing to travel to Dillon, MT for 3 weeks of Great Harvest Bread Company training prior to starting on-site management.
Education & Experience:
• 3-5 years’ of managerial experience, preferably in the food service industry.
• A four-year degree in Business Management or another equivalent field is preferred.
• Serv-Safe certification is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly, bend, stoop, and the use of standard office equipment such as computers.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a regular, full-time, exempt position. Days and hours may vary to include morning, evening, and weekend work according to business needs.
